Christmas at Brittas Bay NS

Christmas Plays

On the 6th, 7th and 8th of December 2022, the staff and students of Brittas Bay National School were delighted to present our Christmas plays to the school community for the first time post-Covid.

Room 1 and 2 performed ‘Shine Star Shine’, Rooms 3 and 5 performed ‘The Magical Christmas Jigsaw’, Room 7 performed ‘Rock around the Flock’ and Room 8, ‘The Peace Child’. We had a wonderful stage experience which was greatly enjoyed by all. Congratulations to all of the children on wonderful performances.

The voluntary donations received during the performances went towards supporting senior citizens in our local community which included the residents of the two nursing homes in the area; Blainroe and Magheramore. Each senior citizen received a Christmas gift bag which also included a handmade Christmas card and decoration from the children.

Wicklow County Council Christmas Decoration Competition

Congratulations to Lauren Martin in 4th class and Alicia Quinn in 5th class who were winners in the December County Christmas Decoration competition held by Wicklow County Council. The girls made a Christmas decoration out of recycled materials.

Well done to both girls and also to the many who were highly commended in the school judging.
