There was a huge turn-out last Friday (03.03.23) for the Brittas Bay National School Pub Quiz. A great night was had and funds were raised to go towards improving outdoor facilities for the school.
With over 25 tables – the place was heaving with quiz masters and general knowledge geniuses. Even those with low expectations did well on the night and while it was neck-and-neck for a while, The Quizzards of Oz (Declan Kavanagh, Zara Copeland, Noel O’Dwyer and Patrick O’Flaherty), pulled away in the last round to take first place, followed closely by S-Club 7 and The Seldom Seen Gang.
A huge thanks goes to Padraig O’Brien for writing the quiz and for being a wonderful MC on the night. We would also like to extend huge gratitude to all of the PA, back-room staff, raffle ticket sellers, white board writers, question correctors, raffle prize organisers, all the quizzers and everyone in-between who made the night the success it was.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Jack Whites Pub, especially Tadhg, for hosting the event and all of our sponsors who gave so generously to our raffle. We are very grateful for all of your support. We have a wonderful community!
