Congratulations to all of the children who made their First Communion on Sunday, 7th May at Star of the Sea church in Brittas Bay.
The children celebrated their day surrounded by family, friends and the wider community as the sun shone and much fun was had. The children sang beautifully while their parents participated in various duties during the mass. Thanks to all for their help during the ceremony and to parents Martina Donohoe and Margaret Kavanagh for coordinating the masses throughout the year and for their help on the day.

A special thanks to Fr. Donal Roche, Fr. Pat O’Rourke and Geraldine Egan and the teachers, Ms O’Doherty and Mr. Furlong who prepared the children throughout the school year for their special day and a huge thanks to their classmates who supported them and came along to join in the fun too.
A highlight for any of these special school days is always the ‘teas and coffees’ after the event, organised by the PA, hosted by the school and kindly provided by a collection of heroes who worked hard from early morning to put on a great spread which was promptly demolished in the glorious sunshine. A HUGE thanks to all who baked, bought, served and smiled and created a super sense of community on the day. Your work is truly appreciated.
