About

Brittas Bay National School was established on the present site in 1857 but moved to Brittas Bridge in 1876 where the old school still stands. In 1967, the two teacher school returned to it’s current site  and there were 64 children in the school at that time.

Today, we have 152 students and 10 staff.

Our school vision states that we wish “to promote and develop an environment where each child will be given equal opportunity to develop his / her full potential, through an enjoyable experience of learning”.

This environment should encourage positive self-esteem, consideration for and acceptance of others in an atmosphere of tolerance.
